The sung letter seems to be the new thing in French pop. After Benjamin Biolay and Jeanne Cherhal vocalising the post-it notes of a doomed couple, Agnès Bihl and 'slammeur' Grand Corps Malade (making a first appearance on this blog, after 2 albums) are doing the same thing on Bihl's new album, Rêve Général(e). She stays true to the vaudeville/classic chanson style of her first two albums - shameless romantic piano ballads, Django-fied songs, a bigband number, and two duets. The one with GCM really stands out.
