Last Friday, singers like Helena Noguerra, Anna Karina, Keren Ann and some bald guy were paying tribute to Serge Gainsbourg at the Printemps de Bourges-festival. FS-special reporter Jan Hiddink was there to report. His ears are still bleeding.

ET ALAIN CHAMFORT AUSSI
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery nice report! Thanks for sharing as always.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHi Jan, I can`t let that stand alone, cause I also visited the show in Bourges and liked it very very much.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenMy critics are mainly that I missed the announced Katerine (who played one day later his solo show at the same festival in the big tent Phenix properly, so why he didn´t come to SG?) and Miossec, too. Originally the whole event was also planned to take place within 3 hears. It was not at all 2 hours.
First I have to say, the whole evining was composed brilantly by Rodolphe Burger, who is a genius guitar player. He used to play in Katonoma, a very good Rockband from Strasbourg. I think Burger is one of the most cool guitar players, who don`t need any posing: that´s why he sits. Burger leads really cool through the evning without saying a lot of words. just singing and playing one of the best cover moments of SG, I´ll think!
I like all the contributions besides Anna Karina; her times are gone, sorry. Daniel Darc, with his tatoos and 2mean" look, little dirt in the voice, strange harp (he used to be the singer of french new wave band Taxi Girl), was maybe the only real Gainsbourg-impersonator that night. Chamfort was the best singer, sure, but Darc had the spirit of Gainsbarre.
I also liked hHelena and the short appearance of Keren Ann. I also didn`t know who the guy with the bold head was - but he wasn`t so bad.
That`s also a critic: Why didn`t they have more time to sing. 3 or 4 songs each other for example?
Anyway, I enjoyed the evening a lot.
